Mastercard is hosting its annual Fintech Forum in Athens for the second year in a row. Fintech startups in the SEE region are invited to participate in the startup competition, with the winners earning a place in the European competition in Berlin. The Forum aims to support startups and foster discussions on emerging trends in the fintech ecosystem. Participating startups will have the opportunity to present their business plans and network with industry professionals and investors. The two winning companies will receive a ticket to the main event in Berlin, where they will compete for a place in Mastercard’s StartPath accelerator. Last year’s winner, Israel’s Kipp, went on to win first place in the final competition. In addition to the competition, the Fintech Forum will feature speakers from Mastercard and other industry leaders, providing networking opportunities for startups and access to strategic partnerships. The registration is open to fintechs from Greece, Cyprus, Malta, Romania, Bulgaria, Serbia, North Macedonia, Kosovo, and Israel. The event will take place in February 2024.
